DOB 3/5/2020 LA 2022 (2-03) ++V+ 83 Sire: Castle Rock Romancer *B (Castle Rock Moon Raker +*B x GCH CRF Castle Rock Roxanne 1*M*D) Dam: Castle Rock Ghost Flower 4*M (Caprine Acres HS Cooper +B x GCH Castle Rock Ghost Pine 3*M) Skylark is a joining of two of my favorite Castle Rock does, Roxanne and Ghost Pine. Her sire is our Roxanne son Romancer. Roxanne has an impressive 21 Best of Breed and 14 Best Udder wins and is just a gorgeous doe overall who has held up very well as she's aged. Skylark's dam is a Ghost Pine daughter. I've always loved Ghost Pine's general appearance, angularity, and large teats. Skylark's dam, Flower, is easily the most productive doe in the herd-- and that's as a first freshener! Skylark is a wide and deep doe. She has tons of width between her hocks and a beautiful wide open escutcheon (one of Romancer's trademarks!) We are very excited to see how she'll freshen in 2022. Stars Alight Heart
DOB 3/22/2020 Blue eyes Sold 2022- Heart now resides at Borden Acres LA 2022: V+VV 86 Sire: Oak Apple Mikado +VE 86 (Proctor Hill Farm TO Go Daddy +B EEE 92 x SG Old Mountain Farm Mizuki 4*M VVEE 90) Dam: Werbelow's Pretty Reckless VEEV 88 (Castle Rock Niko *B x Castle Rock Gold Blush +EEV 88) Heart is one of those goats that just looks awkward in every photo and refuses to pose nicely. She really is a very nice-looking doe, very well-balanced with a nice topline. Like all of Mikado's kids, she has exceptional length of body. Her dam excels in every area except production, but that is one of Mikado's strengths, so the hope is that Heart will have inherited the best of both worlds. |

Utterly Blessed Prayer Ee Hymn
DOB 2/25/2014 2/25/2014 - 3/22/2024 Blue eyes Retired 2020 Sire: Utterly Blessed Gabriel (Olson Acres Valentinos Legacy x CRF Castle Rock Mouzza 1*M) Dam: Mystiques Blue Nutmeg Spice 1*M (AGS Mys Domino Blues x AGS Mountain Quest Orange Spice) Prairie was the first Nigerian Dwarf at Stars Alight Acres, and rules as herd queen. She is a solid doe with nice conformation, and has consistently produced large litters. She has exceptionally nice depth, width, and brisket extension, and an amazing amount of width between the hocks. Her udder has fantastic capacity, and is easy to hand milk. After 2 years in a row of difficult kiddings, and complications from mastitis that left one side of her udder non-functioning, Prairie has been retired. We are very sad to have had to cut her productive milking career short, and to have not retained any of her few daughters. She is a very special goat and will remain at the farm as a spoiled pet. In 2020 we purchased Joie de Vivre Sapphire Nutmeg, a daughter of Prairie's maternal sister, to carry on her legacy. Her udder has great texture, and she produces well, but her teat size is smaller than I would like. Kidding history: 2016: 2 does 2017: 3 does 2018: 1 doe 2019: 3 does, 1 buck 2020: 2 does, 1 buck |

Twin Pears Sweet Summer
DOB 6/7/2020 Sire: Springwater AL Sweet Potato Pi *B (SG Sugar Moon NS Alejandro +*B ELITE x SGCH FMG DB&R Easy As Pie 3*M ELITE) Dam: Twin Pears RC Starry Night (TNR CT Rolling Coal x Elfin Acres B Liane 1*M) Sweet Summer is a very special little lady. Her sire, Sweet Poato Pi, was #1 on ADGA's Young Sire Development list for the 2019 4th quarter. Sweet Potato was a very correct and promising young buck, winning 2x junior champion buck at his first show as a 6 week-old! Tragically, Sweet Potato was lost to a predator attack at only a year and a half old, before he was able to reach his full potential. Summer is one of his last offspring. We are thrilled to have her here to carry on her sire's legacy. Unfortunately at just over a year old, Summer developed what appears to be hyperextension in one front knee. She remains here as a pet because of her sweet personality and sentimental importance, but will not join our breeding program. |

Stars Alight Sweet Dreams
DOB 11/23/2020 *DNA* Sire: Springwater AL Sweet Potato Pi *B (2019 ADGA Junior Herdsire) (SG Sugar Moon NS Alejandro +*B x SGCH DB&R Easy as Pie 3*M) Dam: Oak Apple Lily Pons 2*M (Proctor Hill Farm TO Go Daddy +B x Pidlin Acres BZ Whata Diva 1*M) Like her half-sister Twin Pears Sweet Summer, Dreamy is a special girl. Her sire, the promising young Springwater AL Sweet Potato Pi *B, was killed just weeks after Dreamy's litter was conceived. While a few straws of semen were able to be recovered post-mortem, Dreamy and her brother and sister were the last kids he sired while he was alive. We are honored to have her here, and grateful to Westi of Twin Pears Farm for arranging Lily's breeding to Sweet Potato before sending her down from Oregon. Dreamy is still coming together. She looks like she'll be wide and deep, but is starting to put some length on as she's maturing as well. She is built much more like her paternal half-sister Sweet Summer than her maternal littermate half-sister Contessa, so it is clear to see her sire's influence. * At 6 months of age, Dreamy suffered an injury to a growth plate which resulted in a case of elbow dysplasia. She underwent corrective surgery in August of 2021. We are hoping for the best as she heals, but at this time it is unclear whether or not she will recover to the point where she can responsibly be bred. * 6 months post-surgery, there has been no change in Dreamy's condition. We have made the difficult decision to abandon the hope that she will ever be able to join our breeding program, and find her a home where she can be a spoiled pet instead. |

She has a nice general appearance, great depth, a wide flat rump, and a very high, well-attached udder. Teat placement and length are both very good. Unfortunately she is not a heavy producer. Oak Apple Lily Pons 2*M
DOB 2/25/2016 Sold 2021- Lily now resides at Adara Farms LA 2021 (5-05) EEEV 90 2019 (3-06) VEVV 86 2018 (2-03) VVV+ 85 2017 (1-04) +VV+ 83 Sire: Proctor Hill Farm TO Go Daddy (Sugarcreek YO Toshiba x Sugarcreek WM YouTube) Dam: Piddlin Acres BZ Whata Diva 1*M (Lost Valley TB Bonzai x Piddlin Acres Queen of De Nile) Lily is a beautiful and very powerfully built doe. She has excellent general appearance, and her linear appraisal scores get better and better each year. She has a nice wide rump and lots of body capacity. Lily is half-sister to Oak Apple Mikado, who joined the herd last fall and whose kids I've been very impressed with. They are related through their sire, the handsome Proctor Hill Farm TO Go Daddy, who scored an impressive EEE 92 when he was appraised as a 4 year-old. Lily's dam has also appraised well, earning a score of EEE+ 88 as a 9 year-old! She is a doe who held up well over time and was very productive, living to 14 years old, with her last litter at age 13. Stars Alight Frozen Heart 4*M
DOB 4/14/2018 Sold 2021- Snowball now resides at Adara Farms 2021 (3-03) VEEV 89 Sire: Walsh Kids HH Heartthrob (Poppy Patch Honey Ima Hottie *B x Castle Rock Heart of Darkness) Dam: Castle Rock Stalassein (Castle Rock Chicago Peace +*B x SG Castle Rock Brinicle 2*M) I wasn't quite sure what to make of Frozen Heart, AKA Snowball, when she was born. I had bred Stalassein to Heartthrob in the hopes that Heartthrob would add some refinement and length to Stala's depth and capacity, as well as increase teat size. What I got was the most solid, blocky looking doeling I'd ever seen. Fortunately, she has gained length and grown out of much of her awkward, blocky appearance as she's matured, and I expect her to continue to do so. She has excellent width of barrel and enormous width between her hocks. She also has good brisket extension. Snowball's FF udder has been getting better as she progresses through her lactation. Her teats are nicely shaped for hand milking and have large orifices, so she milks out easily. Kidding history: 2020: 1 buck 2021: 2 does (1 not surviving,) 2 bucks (1 stillborn) |

Stars Alight Tiara
DOB 5/1/2019 Blue eyes 2018 (2-02) A+VV 81 Sire: Castle Rock Romancer *B (Castle Rock Moon Raker +*B x GCH CRF Castle Rock Roxanne 1*M*D) Dam: Shadewood WH Golden Trinket 1*M (Grass Valley SH Wild Honey *B x Alethia CTO Bee My Honey) Almost daily during Trinket's pregnancy, I'd rub her belly and tell her that I wanted a flashy gold and white doeling with blue eyes and excellent conformation. Trinket loves to spite me, however, so I was shocked when she actually fulfilled my wish for a custom-order kid! Tiara has grown into a very nice looking young doe. Trinket tends to pass on her angularity and dairy character to her kids, and Tiara is no exception. She combines the genetics of one of my best milking does with that of one of my most impressive bucks, so I'm very excited to see how she continues to mature. It also doesn't hurt that she's one of the friendliest goats in the herd! Kidding history: 2021: 1 buck |

Stars Alight Talisman
DOB 5/1/2019 Sire: Castle Rock Romancer *B (Castle Rock Moon Raker +*B x GCH CRF Castle Rock Roxanne 1*M*D) Dam: Shadewood WH Golden Trinket (Grass Valley SH Wild Honey *B x Alethia CTO Bee My Honey) When Tally's dam Trinket only gave me a single buckling as a first freshener, I was so disappointed! So when she had triplets the second time around, and two of them were does, I couldn't resist keeping both! Especially since their sire is my Castle Rock Roxanne son! Tally is the wider of the two sisters, although otherwise they're pretty similar. Given the beautiful, easy-to-milk udder on her dam, and the amazing udder genetics on her sire's side (16 Best Udder wins for his dam, Roxanne!) I expect her to mature into a phenomenal milker. |

Stars Alight Frostfire
DOB 3/5/2019 Polled Sire: Dog Island Artax *B (Dog Island Irish Car Bomb *B x SG Castle Rock Lady Rainicorn 5*M) Dam: Castle Rock Stalassein (Castle Rock Chicago Peace +*B x SG Castle Rock Brinicle 2*M) Fire is a pretty, stylish young doe. She's long and elegant like her sire Artax, and she levels out nicely on the move. I love her topline and general appearance. She's looking like she'll end up inheriting her mother's width and depth. She is also polled like her mother. I expect her to be a productive milker. |

Stars Alight Dark Side OT Moon
DOB 4/9/2018 Sold 2020 Sire: Adobe Acres Blue Moon Rising (Copper Penny STAMP Hot Stuff x Adobe Acres WOW Georgia Brown) Dam: AGS Gypsy Kids Kali Dee (AGS Miracle Kids Just A Dandelion x AGS Miracle Kids H Peek-A-Boo) Nix is a pretty little doe. She has a good topline and very nice legs and feet. She freshened with an udder that was much nicer and with much more capacity than I was expecting for a first freshener. She could use better attachments and a stronger MSL. And better milk stand manners! Kidding history: 2020: 1 doe, 2 bucks |

AGS Gypsy Kids Kali Dee
DOB 1/8/2015 Sire: AGS Miracle Kids Just A Dandelion (AGS Pecan Hollow CI Chandler x AGS Miracle Kids CM Petunia) Dam: AGS Miracle Kids Peek-A-Boo (AGS Desertwinds CP Headache x AGS Sunrise Farm Heroine) Kali Dee, AKA Luna was the second goat at Stars Alight Acres, brought in as a companion for Prayer Ee Hymn. She has been retired from breeding after she sustained a permanent leg injury just days before her 2018 kidding. Kidding history: 2016: 2 does 2018: 1 doe/2 bucks |

Shadewood Ariel
DOB 11/29/2015 Polled Sire: Shadewood Little Britches (AGS Cottonwood Croft Cotton Gin x Grass Valley Sugar Maple) Dam: Utterly Blessed Prayer Ee Hymn (Utterly Blessed Gabriel x AGS Mystiques Blue Nutmeg Spice 1*M) Ariel was the first doe kid born on the farm. She was part of a litter of FIVE, although two didn't make it due to kidding complications and a rough start. She is a petite little doe, with good width and depth. Her FF udder, while not particularly capacious (although I tend to give FFs a break) was well-attached and had a strong MSL. Kidding history: 2018: 2 does |

AGS Gypsy Kids Shiva
DOB 1/24/2016 Blue eyes Sire: AGS Mini Adventures Blue Phoenix (AGS Aura TW Casper x AGS Lil Roughnecks CA Arizona) Dam: AGS Gypsy Kids Kali Dee (AGS Miracle Kids Just A Dandelion x AGS Miracle Kids H Peek-A-Boo) Shiva is a solid doe. She has great width and depth. Although not as refined as some of my other does, she has a good general appearance. I did not milk her as a FF and instead let her raise her kids, so I will have to wait until her second freshening to evaluate her udder. Kidding history: 2017: 1 buck/1 doe |
