2024 Kidding
Stars Alight Contessa 3*M VVEV 88
Dam: Oak Apple Lily Pons 2*M EEEV 90 Sire: Buttin'Heads Containerised *B EEE 91 Maternal brother of 2012 ADGA National Champion |
Hidden Hills Country Road +++ 82 (1-03)
Dam: Hidden Hills Southern Charm 8*M Paternal sister of 2023 ADGA Total Performer Sire: Hidden Hills Magic Mike *B |
Kidded 2/16
2 does (none available)
We love Contessa's general appearance- her length and depth of body, strong front end, excellent brisket, and her snugly attached udder with nice RUA and teat placement. There's not a whole lot we'd change about her, but we would like to see higher production and a more defined MSL. We think breeding her to Denver will accomplish this nicely. Denver's dam Charm has not been appraised, but her two littermate sisters and Denver's sire's dam all have E scores in mammary and beautiful, well-balanced udders. Charm has never had a full lactation recorded, but is nevertheless a powerhouse milker, with a test day high of 7.3 lbs! Charm is paternal sister to the 2023 ADGA National Total Performer, Hidden Hills Natural Mystic!
Stars Alight Arroyo Willow 5*M VVVG 84
Dam: Castle Rock Ghost Flower 4*M VVEV 88 (4-01) Sire: Oak Apple Mikado *+B ELITE VEE 90 |

Dam: Winning Streak EB Exotic Rose 4*M VEEE 88 Sire: GCH Wood Bridge Farm Count on Me +*B VVE 88 |
Kidded 2/14
3 does (1 retained/2 available)
1 buck available as a wether
Does: $650/ Wethers: $200
Willow was a FF this year and we have been so impressed with her! She is milking well and will finish her lactation with her AR 5*M in all 3 categories easily. She is an extremely deep and capacious doe just like her dam, but more smoothly blended. While we have no complaints about her FF udder, we are pairing her with Rajah in hopes that he will add a little more length of body and width to the RUA in their kids. Willow produced a litter of really beautiful quad bucks as a FF and we are hoping for some does this time!
Rosasharn WS Sangiovese VVEV 88
Dam: Rosasharn GX Shiraz 5*M EVEE 91 (Top Ten 2011, 2015, ELITE 2017) Sire: Rosasharn PLW Will Shakespeare +*B +VE 86 |
Winning Streak CM Exotic Rajah GGG 82

This pairing is a bit of an experiment! Sangi brings some excellent foundation genetics from the Rosasharn herd. She excels in body capacity and width and has a nice globular udder with a good MSL and great texture, but could use more angulation, longer bone pattern and a longer more level rump. Rajah's dam and her maternal line have consistently beautiful high, well-attached udders and both sides of his pedigree bring dairy character and angularity in spades, so there is potential for a lot of improvements in these kids!
Stars Alight Roxette GVVG 83
Dam: Werbelow's Pretty Reckless VEEV 88 Sire: Castle Rock Romancer +*B VEE 87 |
Hidden Hills Country Road +++ 82 (1-03)
Dam: Hidden Hills Southern Charm 8*M Paternal sister of 2023 ADGA Total Performer Sire: Hidden Hills Magic Mike *B |
Due: 3/16
Blue eyes possible
Roxette is an extremely long and stylish doe. She has not yet freshened, but her dam and sisters have all had beautiful udders with excellent teat placement. Her maternal line have not been our heaviest producers, so we hope to increase volume while maintaining those lovely udders by using Denver.
Roxette is available with one of her doelings.

This is one of our most highly anticipated pairings of the year! Whether your focus is milk production, show, or appraisal scores, this pairing has it all. Where to start? Production? Sia's dam Calandrina milked 1,050 lbs last year as a 2F and had a test day high of 7.2 lbs this year! Sia's sire's dam Quaking Canopy Holstein has a peak lactation of 1,340 lbs! On Araxes' side of the pedigree, his dam Ocean Flower has multiple 1,000 lb lactations on record, and his sire's dam Castle Rock Lotus was a Top Ten doe with 1,620 lbs produced at her peak. Both sides of the pedigree bring show ring success as well. Sia's maternal grand dam is the absolutely stunning Castle Rock Alexanndrina, who was 1st place 2 year-old at the 2019 ADGA Nationals out of a large class of 66! Sia's dam's sire Hokey Pokey is littermate brother to the 2021 ADGA National reserve champion. Araxes' side of the pedigree has also achieved show ring success- his sire, dam, sire's sire, and dam's dam are all finished champions! Appraisal scores are in the 90's for most close relative as well- Sia's dam and sire have not been appraised, but dam's dam Alexandrinna was EEEV 91 and sire's dam Holstein was VEEE 90. Araxes's dam was EEEE 92, dam's dam was VVEE 90, and sire's dam was VEEE 91...and SG....and ELITE-- We could go on!

We did a similar cross last year when we bred Jamboree's dam Virginia to Araxes, and we loved the result. Stars Alight Southern Belle was retained from that breeding and was one of our prettiest, most correct kids this year. We have been really impressed with the long, level toplines and square front ends that Araxes put on his kids this year, and expect more of the same from this cross. This pairing is also fun because each side of the pedigree brings a Top Ten doe to the mix- Jamboree's maternal grand dam Urban Acres GD Hazel (1,540 lbs) and Araxes' paternal grand dam Castle Rock Lotus (1,620 lbs.)
This is a linebreeding on Drops of Jupiter with a 4.03% COI.

In 2022, we kept two of Ghost Flower's three daughters. While her sister has the smoother general appearance overall, Pine Drop is definitely the wider doe throughout, particularly in the rump, and has the most beautiful open escutcheon of ANY of our 2022 kids. We are hopeful that she will be just as productive as her dam! We are breeding her to Nightshade with the goal of adding a little more angularity and tightening up general appearance.

Larkspur is the first Ghost Flower daughter we've gotten who has really had the length and angularity that we have been trying to get into our Ghost Flower line, as Flower's kids tend to be more powerful and less elegant than others in the herd. We chose to pair her with Rajah because we LOVE the paternal sisters of his we've been seeing (check out all his gorgeous sisters in the Winning Streak herd!) and we want to combine the heavy production of our Ghost Flower line with the style and elegance of Rajah's sire and dam.

We usually wait until the second fall to breed our kids so they are almost 2 when they freshen, but Stella is as big as most of our 2022 kids, and we are dying to see an udder on a Nightshade daughter, so we decided to add her to the lineup. She will be our first ever milking yearling. We are so excited for this cross! Stella is a gorgeous kid, just as her dam Contessa is a gorgeous and well-balanced doe. Stella was everything we hoped for in her breeding in terms of general appearance. Crossing her with Rajah combines many of our favorite Winning Streak animals-- Count on Me, Remarkable, Amazing, Madeline, Exotic Bird, and Wood Bridge Farm Hnysucklerose, among others. We are expecting phenomenal udders and gorgeous general appearance from this cross!

This will be our very first sable breeding, and technically these will be experimental kids. Rem herself is an experimental, but in every respect is a sable created from purely saanen genetics. We really love her udder even for hand milking- she has a fantastic medial and excellent teat placement. Carbide's dam is a FF but she has absolutely beautiful general appearance and is one of the does who helped us decide that we wanted to raise sables!
